Oblique Engineering is actively involved in research and development which has resulted in the patented designs of their grease recovery units. The development of the hydrophobic tracers was another product that was produced as a result of its research and development program. Research is mainly conducted in house and extensive use is made of their research physicist.

Research on critical design parameters of plant equipment when treating different ore bodies, is ongoing. Research is a continual practice and philosophy of Oblique Engineering. The capabilities of new chillers, pumps, infrared dryers, feeders, attritioners are continually being tested and evaluated in order to provide the customer with the best technology possible.

Ongoing research is typically conducted on products such as:

• Different water sources;
• Feeders;
• Ultrasonic cleaners for concentrate material;
• Environmentally friendly degreasers;
• Attritioners;
• Infrared dryers;
• Scrubbers.

However, queries, questions and problems from customers are also addressed and researched where appropriate.
